King Salmon Lodge is a family-owned, seasonal lodge located in the heart of King Salmon, Alaska, welcoming guests from mid-May through mid-October.

With the legendary Naknek River and Katmai National Park in our backyard, we provide a comfortable and convenient home base for experiencing the fishing, wildlife, and extraordinary wilderness that make Bristol Bay one of the most remarkable destinations in Alaska.

Unlike a traditional all-inclusive fishing lodge, we operate more like a hotel, giving our guests the freedom to build an Alaska experience around their own schedule, interests, and budget. Stay with us for a night while traveling deeper into the Alaska wilderness, make the lodge your home base for day trips to Brooks Falls and Katmai National Park, or spend your entire trip with us while our experienced guides take you fishing, bear viewing, and exploring throughout the region.

We welcome solo travelers, families, fishing groups, corporate groups, military personnel, local workers, and returning guests season after season. As one of the early commercial lodging properties established in the King Salmon area, our lodge has grown into more than simply a place to stay. King Salmon Lodge is a cozy waterfront lodge, gathering place, transportation hub, dining destination, and gateway to Bristol Bay – a place where first-time visitors and longtime friends can experience Alaska with the flexibility, hospitality, and local knowledge to make the most of their time while visiting the last frontier.

The staff went above and beyond our expectations in helping us experience Katmai National Park at its best. Rooms in the lodge are clean and comfortable. Drinks while staying at the lodge are not easy to get. No in room fridge for your own sodas. Dinner the food was excellent. Service for dining needs improvement. Guides were knowledgeable about sockeye but not Kings. They forgot one of my fish boxes going to the airport. Recommend going to Brooks Falls, expensive but worth it. Need to improve on service. My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying in the lodge for the past three nights!!🙂 The entire staff made us feel welcomed from the time we were picked up at the airport until the time we were dropped back at the airport for our departure!! The fishing experience I had on the river with the staff guide was truly awesome!! The way the entire staff went up and above to accommodate our every need, made our stay very enjoyable!! We always looked forward to the next meal because the food was spectacular!!😋 We highly recommend King Salmon Lodge if you're looking for an Alaskan Getaway!!🙂

Cooked perfectly with amazing flavor. Breakfast is just as good, and the employees do everything possible to make your stay perfect. There's a lot of improvements going on. Wifi in the cabins can be tricky to get right now. They don't have cheap towels. They are the good ones you would use at home. Bed was comfortable. Nice quiet area on the river.
