At King Salmon Lodge, our amenities are designed to make your time in Bristol Bay comfortable, convenient, and easy to navigate. Whether you’re joining us for a single night on your way deeper into Alaska or making the lodge your home base for a week of fishing, bear viewing, and exploring Katmai National Park, our team is here to make your stay as seamless as possible.
Complimentary Shuttles
Complimentary guest transportation is provided to and from King Salmon Airport (AKN), as well as local private airfields and floatplane services. Our team works closely with transportation providers throughout King Salmon to coordinate pickups and drop-offs around your travel itinerary and scheduled activities. Local taxi services provide options for guests to travel to Naknek and run on a 24 hour schedule, contact information for these services are available in our office.
Comfortable Guest Rooms
Each of our guest rooms provides a comfortable place to relax and recharge after a day in Bristol Bay. Rooms feature private bathrooms, in-room seating, open closet and storage areas, and Smart TVs that allow guests to log in to their own streaming services. Complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, making it easy to stay connected, check travel plans, share photos from the day, or catch up with home, even from our remote corner of Alaska.

Operating in one of the most beautiful and ecologically important regions of Alaska comes with a responsibility we take seriously. Where practical, King Salmon Lodge works to reduce unnecessary single-use and disposable products throughout our operation, encourage the use of reusable alternatives, limit waste, and conserve electricity, water, and other resources. Our remote location also makes thoughtful consumption especially important. Nearly everything used at the lodge must travel a considerable distance to reach King Salmon, and everything we discard must ultimately be managed here as well. Small choices can make a meaningful difference. Guests may notice some of these efforts throughout their stay, from our upon-request housekeeping model and reduced linen washing to reusable drinkware, refillable amenities, and energy-conscious operating practices. We know there is always more that can be done, and we continue looking for practical ways to reduce our footprint without compromising guest comfort, cleanliness, safety, or the quality of the King Salmon Lodge experience.

Breakfast, Dining & Riverfront Bar
A complimentary breakfast buffet is served daily for overnight guests, with coffee available early for those heading out on morning adventures. À la carte lunch and dinner are also available throughout the season from our chef-driven kitchen, see our dining room page for more information about dining at KSL. Our dining room and full-service bar overlook the Naknek River and offer what we proudly consider the best lodge view in town. Whether you’re sitting down for dinner, enjoying a drink after a day on the water, or simply watching the river roll by, it’s one of our favorite places to gather at the lodge.
24-Hour Snacks, Coffee & Essentials
Our 24-hour self-service snack bar keeps drinks, snacks, and quick bites available whenever you need them. Guests may conveniently charge snack purchases directly to their room.
An early-morning coffee, tea, and hot cocoa bar is also available for guests, particularly appreciated before those early floatplane departures and fishing trips.
Our KSL Merchandise Display offers lodge apparel and souvenirs alongside useful Alaska essentials you may have forgotten along the way, including bug nets, buffs, reusable water bottles, and other seasonal necessities.
Housekeeping at Your Pace
Rather than automatically entering guest rooms each day, we offer housekeeping services upon request. This approach provides greater privacy, reduces unnecessary interruptions, and allows our housekeeping & lodge team to focus attention where it is most needed throughout the day. Fresh towels and linens, trash removal, room refreshes, and additional housekeeping needs are always available upon request. Simply let our team know what you need, and we’ll be happy to take care of it.
Medication Refrigeration & Valuables
For guests traveling with medications requiring refrigeration, refrigerated storage can be arranged with our team. We also maintain a management run communal lodge safe for guests who would like additional secure storage for small valuables during their stay. Please speak with the lodge manager team for assistance with either service.
Fish Processing & Freezing
Bringing home your Bristol Bay catch is part of the experience. We offer a fish processing and freezing program for lodge guests so your catch can be properly prepared and kept frozen for your journey home. Our team can help explain processing, packaging, storage, and travel considerations when you arrive so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time fishing.
