Weather is an unavoidable part of traveling in remote Alaska and can have a significant impact on transportation into Katmai National Park. Depending on conditions, our team will recommend the transportation option we believe provides the safest and most reliable experience available that day. 

Delays and cancellations can occur, and when they do, our team will work with our transportation partners to explore alternate options whenever possible. However, guest safety will always take priority over maintaining a schedule, and there may be circumstances when a Brooks Falls excursion must be delayed or rescheduled for another day. 

For this reason, we strongly recommend building at least one additional day into your King Salmon itinerary whenever visiting Brooks Falls. A little flexibility can make all the difference when traveling in Alaska, and our team will do everything reasonably possible to help you experience Katmai safely, smoothly, and with as little disruption as possible.
