At King Salmon Lodge, our dining program is intentionally focused. Rather than offering an overwhelming number of options, we concentrate on doing a smaller selection exceptionally well, serving fresh, satisfying food while limiting unnecessary food waste in our remote corner of Alaska. Our goal is simple: make sure everyone leaves the dining room well-fed, happy, and ready for whatever Bristol Bay has in store.

À La Carte Dining
With the exception of our complimentary breakfast for overnight guests, King Salmon Lodge operates an à la carte dining and bar program. Lunch, dinner, alcoholic beverages, and other purchases are not included in your nightly lodging rate.
Guests are asked to close out their dining and bar tabs each evening directly with our dining room team. Meals and bar purchases cannot be charged to your room.

Breakfast with a View
Overnight guests are invited to start their morning with our complimentary hot and cold breakfast buffet, along with our coffee, tea, and hot cocoa bar. Breakfast features familiar lodge favorites, with selections changing throughout the season. Guest favorites include hearty biscuits and gravy and our house-made smoked sockeye salmon cream cheese spread. We know mornings in King Salmon start early, so we keep the coffee brewing until the lodge clears out and everyone is off fishing, bear viewing, flying, or exploring for the day.
The Lodge Bar
Our full-service bar opens nightly at 4:30 PM, just in time to unwind after a day on the water or in Katmai. Our newly upgraded draft system pours Alaskan beer on tap and is the only draft beer system in town. The bar also features classically prepared lodge cocktails, wines by the glass and bottle, non-alcoholic beers, mocktails, and plenty of options for raising a glass to another day in Bristol Bay.
Dinner on the Naknek
Dinner begins nightly at 6:00 PM and continues until our guests are fed and happy. Our kitchen offers a rotating chef-selected entrée each evening, alongside locally caught Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, a fresh salad bar, an ever-changing house-made soup, and lodge-made desserts to finish the night. Our menu changes throughout the season based on availability, seasonality, and what our culinary team is excited to serve. Operating in remote Alaska requires us to be thoughtful about what we fly in to stock our kitchen and how we use it, and we work hard to minimize waste without sacrificing the quality of what we bring to the table.
Community Nights
King Salmon Lodge has long been a gathering place for the surrounding community, and we're proud to continue traditions like our popular Thursday Steak Nights and other public dining events throughout the season. Public seating is offered when available, with priority given to our overnight lodge guests. Our dining room and lodge teams work hard to make everyone, whether you're staying down the hall or joining us from down the road, to feel welcome at the table.
